Germany KI-Marktüberwachungs- und Innovationsförderungsgesetz (KI-MIG) — AI Act implementing law

Germany's implementing law for the EU AI Act, in force from 29 July 2026. Names the Bundesnetzagentur as the central market-surveillance authority with a coordination centre and a specialised AI market-surveillance chamber, keeps sector regulators for harmonised product areas, lets the Länder use the Bundesnetzagentur by delegation, creates a non-public register of high-risk AI, provides fines, and requires at least one AI regulatory sandbox. Evaluation after 18 months and again after three years.
